日本军国主义的本质是强权政治。强权政治是日本近代以来国家战略的基本内涵。不论是历史上的军国主义,还是今天要成为“普通国家”、政治大国或军事大国,所有这些,都不过是日本强权政治在不同历史时期的不同表现。在这些不同的表现下面深藏的实质性东西,战前战后是一脉相承的。从这个意义上说,日本军国主义是否复活并不是问题的关键,关键是构成军国主义实质的强权政治和地区霸权主义不但从来没有改弦更张的迹象,而且随着日本国力的增强,还有变本加厉的趋势。其对国际政治和东亚地区稳定所造成的影响已经有目共睹。这一点,才是真正需要警惕的。

The essence of Japanese militarism is power politics, which is the basic connotation of its state strategy since modern Japan.
