《围城》是钱钟书以一位冷静的学者的身份对自己的同类进行的近距离的观察、剖析,探索他们生活状况的一部小说。作者以犀利的眼光洞穿婚姻、家庭、爱情的面纱,给我们揭示了处于传统文明和现代西方文明夹缝中的中国知识分子的精神世界,从而给整个人类意义上的人性病态和生存困境进行批判和探索。他为我们塑造了一批知识分子阿Q形象。“围城”现象是钱钟书探究人性的又一发现。

Abstract： Qian Zhong-shu, a clear-minded scholar, made a close watch on his sort in respect of their living conditions. Unveiling the mysteries of marriage, family and love, the writer broght forth a picturesque exposure of the spiritual world of the Chinese intellectuals, who were baffled by the blending of a traditional Chinese civilization and a modern western one. He created the image of Ah Q-Like intellectual and explored the human nature.
