The worm pig, a completely new concept, is a self-propelled bristle-tractor that generates motion from the pipeline flow by a specially designed turbine. The speed and towing capacity can be varied with an adjustable activator between the turbine and the traction module. Because the worm pig need not require operation pressure, which is provided by sealed pipeline to obtain power, it will be a new direction for pigging technology.
