2005年8月28日十届全国人大常委会第十七次会议通过了治安管理处罚法，现将该法规定的一些主要内容介绍如下：

On August 28, 2005, the Standing Committee of the 10^th Na tional People＇s Congress （NPC）- China＇s top legislature - reviewed and adopted at its 17^th meeting the Law on Administrative Penalties for Public Security of the People＇s Republic of China （“Law”）.
