The paper proves the fact that reference, substitution, ellipsis; conjunction and lexical cohesion are the five methods badly needed in text coherence. Although it coherence in form, the paper at the same time touches on the analyzes the necessity of the possibility of text coherence pragmatically and semantically, thus giving a comprehensive explanation of the coherence theory.
