刘基散文创作取得了很高成就,后世给予了高度评价,他也自负一代文宗。论文抓住刘基散文的理明气昌与气昌而奇的风格特征,从散文的历史发展脉络中考察其艺术成就与影响,论述了刘基在唐宋八大家地位的确立与宗尚形成中的先导作用,及其与明代复古运动的关系等,进一步深化了对刘基散文创作的研究。

Liu Ji＇s prose creation obtained a high achievement, and the later generations give him a high evalu- ation. He regarded himself as a leader of the literary circles in Ming Dynasty. The thesis, from the style characteristics of Liu Ji＇s prose, such as the clear principle and prosperous spirit among which there is strange style, investigates its art achievement and influence from the developmental venation of the prose history, discusses his first leading function in the establishment of the position of Tang and Song Eight Prose Schools, and the relation with the athletics of reviving the ancient rules in Ming Dynasty etc. which deepens the researches of Liu Ji＇s prose.
