摘要
讨论了电子设备描述(EDD)产生的背景和原理,并对现有设备描述技术进行了深入的分析,最后针对其不足提出了解决方法．
Today there are a lot of different software tools for configuring devices in a control system, which makes the configuration task time-consuming and energy-consuming; furthermore engineers must go to device field to finish such activities as configuration, calibration and diagnoses. EDD technology solves the problems successfully. The paper firstly introduces the background in which EDD emerges and principles of EDD, and analyzes the exiting device description technology deeply, at last indicates its shortages and presents the authors＇ solutions.
