High power photonic crystal fiber laser and key issues

摘要 与常规双包层光纤相比,空气包层大模面积光子晶体光纤更适用于高功率激光器的研制。介绍了高功率光子晶体光纤激光器研究的最新进展,分析了耦合系统和谐振腔设计中所存在的不利于功率提高的因素,指出低损耗的熔接技术是光子晶体光纤激光器达到更高功率的关键。 The air-clad large-mode-area photonic crystal fibers have more advantages than conventional fibers for application in high power fiber lasers. The research progress of high power PCF lasers is briefly introduced, then the drawbacks existed in the design of coupling system and resonant cavity are analyzed. Finally it is pointed out that PCFs splicing with low loss is the key issue in the further research of higher power fiber lasers.
