The coast defense policy plays an vital role in Lin＇s patriotic thought. Aiming to effectively resist the enemy and defense the country, Lin put forward his coast defense policy which varied with the changing situation at home and abroad. This process of changing reflected the evolvement and adjustment of the traditional coast defense policy under new situation.
