The development process of shadow-mask-frame steel strip for color tubes are summarized from market survey and laboratory experiment to industrial test, from steel-making to cold-rolling. Especially the techniques of smelting and controlled rolling in producing processes of the ultra-low carbon and low aluminum steel strip are discussed.
