Application of MapX in Designing Mine Safety Information System

GIS(Geographic Information System)技术是图形与数据库技术的完美结合,利用GIS技术建立的煤矿安全生产信息系统比传统的信息系统有很多优势。本文简述了基于GIS控件MapX与Visual Basic结合开发建立煤矿安全生产信息系统的思路和方法,并详细介绍了如何实现图形与数据库互访、最短路径分析和专题地图等功能,为具体工程应用提供了一个借鉴的实例。

GIS（Geographic Information System）combines graphics and database technologies perfectly.The mine safety information system developed by GIS is much better than the typical information system. The paper presents the method of developing the mine safety informarion system in Visual Basic by using Active Control MapX, then gives detailedly methods to tie the map with the database, to get the shortest path , and to build the theme map. It＇s a good example for reference in developing a practical project.
