摘要
针对斯梯芬·高森对诗歌的污蔑,锡德尼在他的《为诗辩护》中,对高森的观点予以驳斥,并阐述了自己对文艺的一些看法。他认为诗人是学术之父,诗歌是其他一切学术文化活动的起因;诗歌融合了哲学的观念和历史的事例并与艺术相结合,完成教育的目的;诗歌是一种能言的图画,更有效地达到怡情悦性的目的;诗歌创造了自己独特的陈述,使启示和真理更普及和更容易接近。
Sydney confounded Gauson's argument in his Defense for Poems to the tarnish by Stephen Gauson, in which he presented his view on poems. He considered poet as father of academy, and poems as origin of philosophical ideas and historical cases with art to reach the goal of education. He viewed poems as spoken pictures which could better express people's feeling. He pointed those poems created its unique statement which made inspiration and truth near to access.
