The article holds that the establishment of ＂The Social Life History of Chinese Southwestern Nationalities＂ is not only of great academic significance to ethnic history, ethnology and national customs, but also promotes the further research of this field. Its academic contributions include：putting forward systematically the new scientific concept of ＂ethnic social live history＂ and textually verifying the content of social life of the southwestern nationalities＇ basic necessities of life.
