A Rose for Em ily的语言风格主要是繁复的,但同时也是简洁的。本文采用比较与对照的方法,通过考据连同举例,集中研究W illiam Fau lkner的A Rose for Em ily以及杨岂深先生的译本《纪念爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》,认为杨先生的译本是一个融会贯通、形神兼备的译本。希望此项研究有益于文学翻译者和文学创作者。
The style of William Faulkner is succinct as well as luxuriant, so is in his A Rose for Emily, a short story as one of his masterpieces. The paper makes a contrast study between English original and a Chinese version by Mr. Yang Qishen, and comes to the conclusion that Yang＇s version is almost a perfect one, and hopes that this study will be beneficial to those who want to be literature translators and literature writers.
