发挥教材优势提高学生语言应用能力

Making Good Use of the Text to Improve the Learners＇ Language Competence

《新视野大学英语》是近年新出版的一套以培养学生英语应用能力为本，听、说、读、写多位一体的大学英语教材。作为其主线的《新视野大学英语·读写教程》在编写及选材上，以系统、交际、认知、文化和情感并存为原则，符合大纲中规定的培养目标。本文笔者就对此教材的课堂教学实践及感受，即如何通过整体教学、深挖语料来处理教材，并发挥其优势，以培养学生英语语言应用能力，全面提高学生英语素质，作一介绍。

New Horizon College English is a set of newly-published application-based English textbooks, which aims to improve the students＇ English competence with strict training in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Its major textbook Reading and Writing Course is written by the five principles （system, communication, cognition, culture and emotion）. This paper tells of the author＇s teaching practice and experience of the textbook and how to improve the students＇ English competence and achieve Oualitv Education.
