On the Two Problems in College English

大学英语教学中出现的两个问题:一个是语法教学的忽视;另一个是教师作用被弱化的问题,第一个问题认为英语流利就是英语水平高,并且这种自主学习的误解导致了教师作用的弱化。事实上,这两个问题相互关联。

In college English teaching two problems emerge. One is the ignorance of the grammar teaching and studying, and the other is the ignorance of the teacher indispensablerole. The first problem arises from the illusion that fluent English speaking equals to the high proficiency in English. And the misunderstanding of autonomous study leads to the second problem. As a matter of fact, the two problems have some connections between each other.
