浅谈美国价值观念中的个人主义

Individualism in American Values

价值观念是人们衡量某一事物的根本准则,其本质是一种思维方式,是一个民族传统文化和民族心理素质的反映。由于各个国家的具体情况不同,因此,形成了截然不同的价值观念。在美国的价值观念中,个人主义是一个十分重要的方面。与个人主义密切相关的有以下三个方面:个人奋斗,个人荣誉感,个性自由。

Values, a basic criteria for people＇s judgment and, in essence, a mode of thinking, can reflect a nation＇s traditional culture and psychological quality. Different situations of nations result in various values quite different from each other. Individualism, in American values,is one important factor, and it is closely connected with the following three respects which are personal struggle, sense of personal achievement and freedom of individual charatcteristic.
