Network Design Aspects of CDMA Systems

本文简要介绍ＩＳ－９５ＣＤＭＡ系统的重要特性，然后论述ＣＤＭＡ系统规划的几个关键因素。包括通信容量、覆盖范围、传输质量和经济规模之间的利弊关系。同时，本文还说明，由于ＣＤＭＡ系统具有独特的扩频波形、功率控制和软切换等功能，因此，即使是最困难的工程技术问题也可以迎刃而解。

This paper will briefly describe the key system attributes of the IS-95 CDMA system and then discuss some key factors used in planninga CDMA system.Included in this discussion are the tradeoff's between capacity, coverage, quality and economics. It will be shown that becauseof CDMA's unique spread spectrum waveform, power control, and soft handoff capabilities,even the most difficult system engineering problemscan be overcome.
