This paper introduces the generic cabling for commercial premises specified in International Standard ISO/IEC 11801,including its structure and minimum configuration, implementation requirements and link specifications. The electrical performance, mechanical and environmental characteristics of 100Ω balanced cables for horizontal floor wiring, which are Specified in Standard ISO/IEC 11081 and draft IEC 1156-2, are also described in detail.
