伦理悲剧是指个人与普遍法则规范相冲突所导致的苦难、不幸甚至毁灭,它在张爱玲小说中有一定的反映。张爱玲通过她笔下的伦理悲剧,展示了个体生命的超越性本质以及命运的荒诞、人生的悲哀,人性的不可理喻,从而使其小说创作超越了社会历史层面而进入到哲学领域。

Ethical tragedy means hardship, misfortune and even destruction, which are brought about by the conflicts of individual to universal principle. It is being reflected somewhat in Zhang Ai-lin＇s novels. Zhang Ai-lin has displayed the transcendental nature of individual life, the absurdity of fate, the sorrow of life, and the incredibility of human nature by means of the ethical tragedies she described. This has helped her story writing to transcend the social and historical level so as to be involved in the sphere of philosophy.
