摘要
本文以分析当代英国女作家拜厄特的长篇小说《占有》的“充盈饱满”为出发点,探讨小说所表现的历史真实与文学虚构之间的距离和张力,作为文化记忆的文学的历史内涵以及小说这一特殊的叙事形式,在创作情节和情境以及在进行情节和情境的组合过程中以其特有的较为充分和自由的表达方式所能给予的阅读与写作的愉悦。
By looking at the literariness of A. S. Byatt’s Possession, this paper explores such issues as the distance and tension between historical truth and literary construction, the historical meaning of literature as cultural memory, the reading and writing pleasures as invoked by the novel as a special form of narrative in the course of constructing and composing actions and scenes by means of re-creation.
