理论过剩与现代思想的命运

The Excessiveness of Theories andthe Destiny of Modern Thought

本文从思想史和现代性的整体角度探究20世纪的“理论过剩”现象,对该现象背后“无限扩张的反思逻辑”进行初步的考察与分析。本文认为“理论过剩”在其根本上不是什么理论伦理问题,而是现代人本主义的基本症候和现代性进程中的思想命运,它与“绝对他者”在现代思想活动中的隐匿与缺席有关。中国式的“理论过剩”背后是理论的贫乏。

This paper discusses the phenomenon of “excessive theories” from the perspective of both modernity and history of thought, giving a preliminary investigation and analysis of the “ever-expanding logic of reflection” behind the phenomenon. The author believes that the excessiveness of theories is not a matter of theoretical ethic at all but the general symptom of humanism and the intellectual destiny of thought in the modern process. It is related to the absence and hiding of the “absolute other” in modern intellectual activities. After the Chinese excessiveness of theories there will be a lack of theory.
