The present paper introduced five developmental models of perfectionism and made some critiques on them. Social expectations model held that parental high expectation to children is a factor of the development of perfectionism. Social leafing model focused on the role of imitation of perfectionism that presumably resided in their parents. Social reaction model discussed the premise that children who became perfectionistic exposed to harsh environment. Anxious rearing model discusses parental worried about imperfect and extremely protect to children would promote children's perfectionism. The integrated model tried to make a systematic analysis of the development of perfectionism by considering both inner and outside factors.
