摘要
本文基于对中国八所开办英语专业学历学位教育的高校网络教育学院261名学生的问卷调研,对网络教育英语专业学生的个人情况、以往学习经历、电脑和网络技能以及网络学习状况等信息进行了总结和分析,并提出这一调研结果对网络教育在资源开发、助学服务和课程考核三个层面所带来的思考。
After several years of pilot projects, our nation's modern distance education engineering has obtained considerable achievements and many researches have been brought about. However, there is not sufficient systematic survey and study carried out mainly on students in e-learning. The learners, the real consuming group of modern distance education, and their existing state seldom become the main part of the relevant research. With a view of obtaining better understanding of the current status of e-learning students, this survey has selected 261 diploma or degree students from 8 e-colleges of national HEI, which have offered English major since the spring of 2004 and distributed group questionnaires to them. Through the survey, a large sum of data have been collected in English major of e-learning from four respects such as the individual status, learning experience, application capability of computers and network, and web-based learning effects. The results of the questionnaires indicates that the typical groups of learners who take up English major of HEI's e-colleges are single females between 20 to 29 years old. They afford themselves the tuition fees and are ordinary employees working for business affairs in a unit which might hold more than one hundred positions. They need to use English in their work. Most of the learners have already reached the level of diploma and have been equipped with comparatively good English and can employ computer and network. They have possessed appropriate internal and external learning motives. Through study, they think, in general, that they have increased their interest in English major and improved their own independent learning ability. They have recognized the blending learning format of on-line learning plus face-to-face learning. They have expressed their preliminary satisfaction with the resources and learning support provided by the e-learning institution. Their difficulties of learning concentrates on two respects: resources and learning methods. At the end of this article, the author summarized three-level enlightenment coming from the result of the survey in development of e-learning resources, learning support and course assessment.
