唐代爱情传奇较之以前的文学作品更注重两性之间的情感因素,其主人公多是社会地位低下的妓女或婢妾,这正是特定时代中的妓女自身素质与唐代文人的感情取向暗合所致。这种情感追求与当时的社会规范是相矛盾的,从而注定了它的悲剧性。
