What this paper focuses on is not Berlin Philarmonie,popularily regarded as Scharoun's masterpiece,but an unbuilt work——his competition project for National Theatre in Mannheim,1953,However,in Peter Blundell Jones's sophisticated and delicate description,we may understand Scharoun's distinct ideas,creative disposals and lifetiome track in some degree.
