Some technical problems exist in the measuring accuracy of gaspumps, that have been neglected for long in China. This leads tofrequent infringements upon the interests of the automotive fuel oiloperators and consumers. The paper analyzes the major features of thegas pump's measuring converter, gas pump electric system and theeffect of some external factors upon the measuring accuracy, in the hopeof raising the concern of the parties concerned. Ultimately, the papertries to reinforce quality and technical supervision, by perfecting theapplicable national standards, improving the gas stations' managementover the gas pump use and maintenance, and safeguarding the legitimaterights and interests of the fuel oil distributors and motor vehicle owners.
