A Novel Algorithm for Improving Bandwidth Fairness of RED

本文介绍了一种用于促进RED带宽公正性的名为带宽随机优先检测的新算法。该算法首先根据落差权重定义了高带宽数据流,然后通过增加控制高带宽数据流的最大值和参数来增大落差的可能性,并还在一些网络环境中模拟评估了该BF-RED算法。

In this paper, a new algorithm named Bandwidth- Fair RED （BF- RED） is proposed to improve the bandwidth fairness of RED. The algorithm identifies high bandwidth flows according to its ＂drop- weight＂, then raises the drop probability by increasing the value of maxp parameter to control the high bandwidth flow. This paper also presents simulations evaluating BF - RED in some network environments.
