This paper takes a look at a variety of programming interfaces for XML. These interfaces give developers a consistent interface for working with XML documents. This paper describes the thought, the method, and format definition of XML database adopted in the exchange among the data of different structure, and looks at four of the most popular and generally useful ones： the Document Object Model（DOM）, the Simple API for XML（SAX）, JDOM, and the Java API for XML Parsing（JAXP）.
