Dam constructions and the economic value of recreation and tourism

对堤坝建设项目所带来的非市场利益的经济价值进行了分析评估,即堤坝建设所创建的人工湖的娱乐与旅游价值.由于堤坝建设的旅游价值不存在市场价格,因此本文应用了CV方法并运用复合模型对零敏感度(无响应)的公众群体进行了考察,结果表明复合模型具有WPT的双峰值分布的特征.

We seek to estimate the economic value of typical non-market benefits of a dam construction project, which is the leisure and tourism value of an artificial lake created by the dam construction. Because there is no market price for the value in question, this study applies a contingent valuation（CV） approach. In doing so, a mixture model is used to allow zero responses. As a result, the mixture model easily captures the common bimodality feature of the willingness-to-pay（WTP） distribution as expected.
