Development of Transgenic Crops and Question of Bio-safety

近些年,农作物生物技术在世界范围内取得了飞速的发展,其产业化步伐在各国政府的大力支持下正在加快。在大量的转基因作物被推向市场的同时,人们对转基因作物对环境和人类健康等方面可能存在的风险感到担忧。转基因作物的安全性越来越受到关注。本文论述了世界转基因作物的发展、安全性问题的争论以及转基因作物在我国现代农业发展中的地位及作用等。

The worldwide success in crop biotechnology has been made in recent years,and the industrialization of them has been speeded up with the help of government. With large amount of transgenic plants being commercialized, people feel uneasy about the potential risks of transgenic plants to environment,human health and ethics. The bio-safety of transgenic crop has aroused more and more concern. In this paper, the development of international transgenic crop and question of bio-safety have been discussed. The important status and functions of transgenic crop in the development of Chinese modern agriculture have been expatiated based on the development trends of international agricultural development.
