The Public Goods Provision in the Western Rural Areas and Economic Development

长期以来,西部农村在“城乡”和“东西”双二元经济结构制约下,农村公共物品供给的严重不足,现已成为制约西部农村经济发展的主要障碍之一。本文在分析西部农村公共物品提供主体与效率之间的关系和西部农村公共物品提供对经济发展效应的基础上,通过建立经济计量模型,论证了这一结论．并根据西部农村公共物品的供给现状及形成机理提出了相应的政策建议。

The serious shortage of the Public goods Provision in the western rural areas has become one of big barrier to the western rural economic development. On the basis of analyzing the relationship between the main body of the Public goods Provision and its efficiency and the effect of the western rural areas public goods provision on the economic development, the article proves this conclusion by establishing econometrics model. Some policies and suggestions are offered at the end of the article according to the actuality and forming mechanism of the public goods provision in the westem rural areas.
