民办二级学院英语教学模式改革与实践

On Reform of English Teaching in Colleges Run by the Local People

民办二级学院英语教学的目的是培养学生实际运用语言的能力,即具有较熟练的阅读理解能力、一定的听说能力和翻译写作能力,以适应在未来工作中查阅文献和对外交流的需要。文章针对民办二级学院学生英语基础比较薄弱的特点,探讨如何从从实际出发,围绕培养学生的语言运用能力,综合处理读、听、说、译等各种语言技能,提出了若干改革举措。

The purpose of the English teaching for colleges run by the local people is to develop the students＇ability to use language, which includes reading ability, listening ability and speaking ability etc, so that they will be able to read great amount of scientific literature and communicate with foreigners＂. Based on these requirements and the analysis of the students＂ relatively lower English level, this paper puts forward suggestions on how to update the teaehing concepts and reform teaehing methods so as to improve their integrated English skills.
