Land Donation College Campaign, the Development of American Higher Vocational Education and the Enlightenment

1862年,美国颁布《莫雷尔法案》,创办了赠地学院,对高等职业教育产生了重大影响。它开始了政府财政支持美国高等职业教育的历史,促使高等职业教育形成了能力本位的培养模式和直接为社会服务的办学特色。我国应借鉴赠地学院的发展经验,更新观念,保证投入,突出特色,保证质量,大力发展高等职业教育。

In 1862, the U.S. passed Morrill Act and founded Land Donation College, which had great influence to higher vocational education and began the history of government＇s financial support to American higher vocational education. Higher vocational education was made to form its own training mode with ability as the standard and the college-running characteristic of directly serving the society. China should use for reference the developing experience of Land Donation College, renew the conception, insist the characteristic, guarantee the quality and make efforts to develop higher vocational education.
