In 2005, the situation of international strategy and security is complex and turbulent,which can be observed from the following aspects： the acceleration of adjustment on relations between powers, the sharp struggle for the dominant power of the international order, the threat of traditional and non - traditional security , the increasing variable factors of the security circumstances on China＇s neighboring areas and the entry of new phase for relations between main land and Taiwan. As opportunities and challenges coexist, the task on diplomacy and security of China will shoulder heavy responsibilities in years to come.
