《明史·列女传》中记载了265位忠孝、节烈妇女,其中贞妇、贞女占有很大比例,贞妇、贞女的守节现象在明代表现为多种形式。产生这种现象的原因是由于传统主流文化特别是理学的齐家正伦思想的提倡、官方的奖励、家族利益的需要等方面的影响,“为夫守节”已成为明代妇女的一种内在信念。

There are two hundred and sixty--five biographies of women who were considered loyalty and chaste women in the History of Ming Dynasty, Biographies of Chaste Females . Among them loyal woman , chaste girl occupy large proportion. This text attempts to regard the phenomena of these loyal woman , chaste girl as the research object, explore women＇s chastity idea of Ming Dynasty, analyse the inherent reason behind this phenomenon.
