This paper points out that the lack of automatic interconnection between electric and mechanical design causes the defect that manual operation is needed in the output from the electric diagram to the mechanical one, It presents in detail the development process of and technology for the automatic generation of the interconnection diagram on AutoCAD from the electric diagram through ObjectARX. It also shows the method for managing and transferring AutoCAD figure data by using c＋＋ and the key technology for enhancing the system＇s reliability and efficiency. The method put forward in this paper has been verified by the successful development of the system of automatic generation of the interconnection diagram at the whole machine level.
