This paper introduces the development history of Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language SMIL and puts forward SMIL 2.1 Mobile Profile. It also briefly describes the relationship of SMIL 2.1 Mobile Profile to 3GPP SMIL Language Profile. This paper concludes with a detailed introduction to the language profile and three important function modules： content control modules, linking modules, timing and synchronization modules and event set.
