A Syntactic Analysis of"NP-de-VP" Phrases in Chinese

文章对汉语关于“NP的VP”这类短语的争论进行了回顾，并以人类语言的共性为前提提出假设：“NP的VP”短语的结构与英语中动名词短语的结构一致；然后运用乔姆斯基的X一阶标理论（X-bar Theory）和论元理论（θ-Theory）对其进行分析，揭示其内部结构特点。

This paper reviews the arguments about the grammatical nature of the Chinese “NP-de-VP” phrases. Based on the universality of human languages as the prerequisite, the author proposes that “NP-de-VP” phrases in Chinese are similar to the v-ing-phrases in English and uses Chomsky＇s X-bar theory and the thematic theory to reveal their inner structures.
