“连”的语法化过程

The Origin of the Chinese Character Word of“Lian”

现代汉语虚词大多是由实词虚化而来,都经历了一个较长的语法化过程。“连”在现代汉语中用法颇多,这种共时方面的差异是历时方面不同发展阶段的产物。“连”的本义是连结,是一个动词。后来由于结构关系和句法位置的改变,词义随之泛化;反过来,词义的泛化又引起结构关系和句法位置的改变。因此,在这种虚化机制的作用下,“连”的副词和介词用法就产生了。

Function words in modem Chinese mostly originate from national words. They go through a longer process of grammaticalization. Chinese character word of ＂lian＂ has a lot of usage in modem Chinese. The difference of synchronic is the result of dianchronic＇s different development stage. As a verb,the original meaning of ＂lian＂ was＂ to link up＂, Later, because of the change of structure relationship and sentence structure,its meaning became general. On the contrary, the general meaning also led to the change of structure relationship and sentence structure. So under the the machine-processed of grammaticalization, the use of ＂lian＂as a adverb and a prep came up.
