摘要
英语典故源头众多,并承载着丰富的文化内涵。只有对它们追根溯源,才能理解其深刻含意,将其恰当地翻译成汉语。英语典故多来源于历史故事、寓言、神话传说、《圣经》及文学作品;其汉译有直译、意译、借用、加注四种主要方法。
English allusions have rich sources and cultural connotations. Only through tracking back their cources ,can we have a deep understanding of them and translate them into Chinese properly. The present paper discusses the origin and points out some most-used ways of translating English allusions into Chinese.
