电视广播的数字化发展势不可档，作为终端设备的关健设备——数字电视机顶盒，也成为了市场关注的焦点。本文设计出基于IP的数字机顶盒的系统组成方案，以及所需的硬件构架和软件开发平台，从中可获知IPSTB比其他种类的数字机顶盒在交互式数字内容服务上具有很多优越之处。如视频点播、数字视频录像机、龟子节目指南、电视商务、信息服务、音乐、游戏、IP电话、网络闸道器和网页浏览等，其功能更加完善。

Digital television broadcast developing cant be blocked,STB, as the key end equipment use of digital television, has become the focus of the market. This paper designs a kind of system constituting project about digital STB based on IP, and necessary hardware framework and software flatform for developpingo In this paper, we can get that IP STB which have a lot of advantages in handing over with each other service, comparing other category. For instance, VOD （Video On Demand ）, DVR （ Digital Video Recorder）, EPG （ Electronic Program Guide） ,Television commerce ,Information Service, Music, Game, IP Telephone, Network Gateway and Home page Browse ect, and its function is much better.
