摘要
施特凡·格奥尔格是20世纪上半叶最重要的德语诗人之一,“格奥尔格圈”是当时最独特的文学和文化现象之一。由于格奥尔格与纳粹当局的微妙关系,也由于其作品独特的美学旨趣,人们对格奥尔格的接受可以概括为极度崇拜和赞扬,极度误解和拒斥这两个极端。本文论述诗人的创作历程及其各作品的主要特色以及“格奥尔格圈”的概貌和基本性质,简析诗人与其时代特别是纳粹当局的关系并介绍近年来格奥尔格研究在德国的进展情况。
Stefan George is one of the most important German poets in the first half of the twentieth century. And the George-Circle was a most unique literary and cultural phenomenon at that time. Owing to George's subtle relation with the Nazi authority and the distinct aesthetic characteristics of his writing, his poems are always approached in two extremely different directions, that is, readers tend to either wholeheartily admire and highly praise his works or entirely misunderstand and refuse them. This paper will focus on discussing George's writing phases and the major features of his works, describing the George Circle and its nature, analyzing in brief the poet's relation with his time, especially with the Nazi authority, and introducing the study of Stefan George in Germany in recent years.
