A Comment on the Recent "Report on China’s Military Posture" by U.S. Department of Defense

最近出台的美国防部<中国军力报告>对当前美国朝野掀起的新一轮"中国威胁论"起了推波助澜的作用.但它对中国的诋毁在美国内和国际上的影响力也是有限的,不会改变中美关系的总体框架.中美在加强双方战略互信方面有多方面工作可做.

The newly published 'Report on China's Military Posture' by the U.S. Department of Defense, has added fuel to the flame of a new round of the 'China threat theory' within and without the U.S. government. But the slander on China can only have limited effect in the U.S. and the world, and will not make changes to the overall framework of the China-U.S. relationship. There are still many things to be done by China and the U.S. in promoting mutual strategic trust between them.
