A Comparative Study of Cinematic and Theatrical Narrative Modes

电影作为一门自诞生之初就深受戏剧影响的艺术 ,在故事的讲述上借鉴了戏剧的诸多手法 ,但二者不同的媒质基础决定了二者在叙事上各具特色。本文着重从叙事时空、叙事结构。

This paper looks at how film at its earliest inception as an art form testifies to impacts from age-honored theatrical art and how it copiously avails itself of various narrative methods form the latter＇ s rich heritages. It argues that, however, differences in the nature of their respectively employed media result in narrative peculiarities unique to the later comer, It proceeds to discuss the differences between the two arts in temporal-spatial arrangement, narrative structure, spectator＇s perspective and acting style.
