南北朝时期，朝鲜半岛诸国就与南北朝频繁地交往。朝鲜半岛诸国遣使贡献方物，而中原王朝的使节 也出使诸国，并多次授诸国国君以封号，在此基础上，文化交流也开始了。

During the South and North Dynasty, there was a close reationship between China and Korean islands. The kingdoms in Korean islands had sent many messengers to dedicate tributes to our China while the messengers on our China kept visiting the kingdoms in Korean islands and endowed the Korean emperors many royal titles. Thus, bsed upon this, the cultural communication started.
