Twenty years of geosynthetics in china

我国先民以草秆等天然纤维加筋土体溯源已久，但在岩土工程中利用聚合物土工合成材料始于上世纪八十年代初。约二十年来该材料与技术按时间先后在我国的发展经历了自发应用、技术引进、与国际接轨和步入规范应用等几个时期。本文主要介绍各时期的进展，最后对发展前景给予评述。

The soil reinforcement technique in China may be dated back to the ancient time, but the normal application of geosynthetic materials and technology began only in 1980s. The developments may be roughly divided into 4 stages; spontaneous application, techniques imported, connection to world and standards establishment. This paper introduces the proceedings of various stages and comments their prospects.
