National spirit is the spiritual backbone, on which a nation depends for its existence and development. Based on the reality of our institutions of higher learning, this article analyzes the importance of enhancing and cultivating national spirit for the fulfillment of the goal of higher education, and also provides the basic means for institutions of higher learning to enhance and cultivate national spirit.
