摘要
《经史百家杂钞题语》是曾国藩改造桐城、中兴桐城之始。它师法《古文辞类纂》,具有异曲同工之妙。在古文选录的时空跨度与文体构架方面,曾国藩都表现了自己独到的见解,扩宽了桐城堂庑。收录辞赋,超越方苞《古文约选》桎梏;垂爱骈文,突破姚鼐《古文辞类纂》樊篱;别树一帜,添增“叙记”与“典志”,使史传文与经世文纳入选编范畴。《经史百家杂钞》博采众长、兼收并蓄,突破一宗唐宋的桐城派文统,使桐城古文从狭小胡同迈向康庄大道。
A Preface to Classical Masterpieces marked the beginning of the innovation of Tongcheng Literary School by Zeng Guofan. Zeng manifested his distinctive understanding and further broadened the vision of Tongcheng Literary School. The book went beyond the and Song dynasties and brought Tongcheng- style ancient Chinese essays towards a broader and improvement in selecting essays traditions of Tang horizon.
