陶行知的图书馆建设思想初探

Preliminary discussion on tao xingzhi's thoughts of the library's construction

陶行知非常重视图书馆的建设和图书的利用。他认为:图书馆是大众的“文化饭馆”,要普遍建立起来,以满足群众的文化需要;图书是“精神食粮”,是生活的工具,人人都要看书、用书,但不要死读书;要学会图书管理,掌握管理原则,遵守借阅规则。这对我们今天仍有现实意义。

Tao Xingzhi pays much attention to the construction of the library and the use of books. He thinks the library is＂ cultural restaurant＂ of the mass which should be generally set up in order to meet the mass culture＇s needs; the library is the nourishment for the mind, and a tool of the life. Everybody must read a book and make use of it, but not only read without thinking ;We should learn the managing of the library, grasp the principle of managing, observe the principle of borrowing which still have realistic meaning to us today.
